Inter-Generational

TIME TRAVEL THROUGH LOCAL HISTORY

Satterlights

Recently, residents of the Jack Satter House took a trip through time. They experienced local history on a fascinating level. With the help of Jeff Pearlman, local historian and teacher, they touched on times and places that brought back memories of the Revere of old.

Back they went to revolutionary days of Rumney Marsh (Revere, Chelsea, and Winthrop of today) and then fast forwarded to the present.

This lecture was part of one of our inter-generational projects with the history students of Beachmont School in Revere. Interaction between seniors and young people is not only enjoyable but vital. We live in an area steeped in history from the birth of our nation to the neighborhoods of today. By sharing our experiences, we hope to open up the treasure chest of the past and examine its contents.

Jeff Pearlman and his history students will be visiting us in the near future.

Yesterday was ours - today belongs to them - together we can realize tomorrow and help insure the heritage of history for future generations.
