SING OUT FOLKS!

Millie Vogel

No one can doubt that music soothes all - at least to the Satter Singers at the Satter House in Revere. Led by Millie Vogel, the group consists of 25-30 people whose skills are varied in nature but not varied in their love of singing. The purpose of this group is to enjoy the release that music brings to all of us.  Accompanied by a professional pianist, Anthony Crescenzi, they meet every Monday evening during the year to SING!!!  They sing songs from gospel to Broadway show tunes, to Jewish folk songs, and anything else that strikes their fancy.

The last concert was a huge success, which was expected since the group worked extremely hard to make sure that every note was crystal clear and that the lyrics did justice to the author.  The program was a Sentimental Journey into states on the east coast, across through Texas and Oklahoma, to California and then back to Massachusetts.

If you want to experience the joy of singing, do join a community chorus.  Not only will you make new friends with the same interests as you, but you will release energy, take pride in what you are doing by performing on stage and entertain others who might not be as talented as you.

"SING, SING A SONG, MAKE IT SIMPLE TO LAST YOUR WHOLE LIFE LONG. DON'T WORRY IF IT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ANYONE ELSE TO HEAR - JUST SING - SING A SONG."
